Engines from Yaroslavl

At Russia Arms EXPO 2013 (RAE 2013), the IX International Exhibition of Arms, Military Equipment, and Ammunition, Avtodizel OAO (YaMZ) will present its new family of YaMZ-530 midsize inline engines for special-purpose vehicles. The factory will present two new engines in 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder versions.
The engines meet the key requirements to modern special-purpose products such as high output, reliability, maintainability, reliable start in cold temperatures, air tightness, and multifuel capacity.

Key advantages of the YaMZ-530 engine family are their great characteristics on par with the best international products. The YaMZ-5347 4.43-liter engine, with outputs ranging from 190 to 240 horsepower and torque from 735 to 784 Nm, is fitted to vehicles such as Tigr, Volk, SPM-2, and others. Another version, the 6,65-liter YaMZ-5367, with output of 312-450 horsepower and 1226-1660 Nm of torque, is used to power Ural armored trucks, the SPM-3 Medved, and others. These engines have high output – up to 50 kW/l with high tuning potential – and their torque figures reach 250 Nm/l. Another advantage is their high durability, with overhaul periods reaching 1 million km for commercial vehicles and 700 thousand kilometers for special-duty vehicles. Service intervals of the engines can reach 50 thousand kilometers. The new models share up to 85% of basic parts and components and have a noise rating below 92 dB.

All rights for production and sales of the YaMZ-530 engine family belong to Avtodizel OAO (YaMZ), part of the GAZ Group.
